Unlike any other screening available, breast thermography is a breast health monitoring tool that provides early detection of abnormal changes in the breast tissue.
Shelley Lesar, CTT, Director
Shelley brings 25 years of experience in the medical field and specializes in holistic health and wellness for the last 6 years. Her training includes an extensive technician's course in Medical Thermal Imaging and certification as a Clinical Thermographic Technician from the International Academy of Clinical Thermology. She is dedicated to women’s health issues and is committed to supporting women in their desire to have options and choices available to them so that they may take responsibility and control of their own wellness.
William Amalu, DC, DABCT, DIACT, FIACT, Breast Thermogram Interpreter
Dr. William Amalu will read and interpret your thermogram and provide appropriate recommendations. He has been in clinical practice since 1990 and involved in thermal imaging for over 17 years. Dr. Amalu has earned board certifications from three different thermology boards. He has also held several positions in several different thermographic organizations. Dr. Amalu has published many articles on thermography in popular professional journals, including The Biomedical Engineering Handbook (a university desk reference text) and the textbook entitled Medical Infrared Imaging. Dr. Amalu was personally trained in Breast Thermography by the world's current leading authority in this field, William Hobbins, MD. Dr. Amalu currently serves as the president of the International Academy of Clinical Thermology, on the board of the International Thermographic Society, and as the board Medical Director for the National Association of Certified Thermographers. He is a member of the International Academy of Clinical Thermology, International Thermographic Society, American Academy of Thermology, National Association of Certified Thermographers, and the IEEE-Engineering in Medical and Biology Society. At this time, Dr. Amalu provides thermal imaging interpretation services for over 25 imaging centers worldwide. His office is located in Redwood City, California.
Arthur Buntin, Technology Director
Arthur is responsible for talking care of the infrared camera and computer systems in our center. He makes sure Integrative Wellness Center provides high quality thermology equipment and the best processes available. He received his degree in Management Information Systems and has worked in the information technology field since 1997. Arthur also has his own private consulting firm, Buntin Technologies.
